Qualifications & Experience

Following a masters in Physics and a computing startup the majority of Erik’s engineering career has been in the petroleum industry, from drilling engineer to principal professional and discipline head Petroleum Engineering with consultancies and operators.

He has worked from single-issue projects and problems through to integrated full-field development studies, including CCS (Carbon Capture and Storage).

From 2014 he has branched out to sustainability, renewables and transition engineering, triggered by an in-depth study of Climate Change. He analyses and advises on energy, renewables, sustainability and transition projects of varying scales.

Erik is currently working on the Transition Engineering edition of the Project Engineer’s Toolkit textbook, incorporating both transition engineering basics and a systems-engineering component into the familiar practical guide format.
